London, 8 February 2024: Verso Investment Management (VIM), the discretionary fund management arm of the Verso Wealth Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Cockerill as Investment Strategy Director.
Known to many across the wealth management industry, Tim’s expertise covers all aspects of investment management – fund research, asset allocation and portfolio construction –gained from a career spanning 35 years. Tim joins from Rowan Dartington where as Investment Director he built and managed the CPS service and established the firm’s first ESG portfolio. He headed up fund research and subsequently embedded ESG into all aspects of the investment process. During his 12 years there, he extended the ESG fund range, building the funds under management, and constructed a series of Asian multi-currency discretionary portfolios for SJP Asia. Prior to Rowan Dartington, Tim led the fund research teams at Ashcourt Rowan plc and Chartwell Investment Management, and before this, worked for a number of leading DFM’s where he also managed portfolios.
As an accomplished investment management specialist with a strong background in portfolio construction and management, Tim’s remit at Verso will be wide ranging, supporting the development of the investment business at a time of growth and expansion. A member of Verso’s investment committee, Tim will work with Rory Smith, Verso’s Chief Investment Officer and Andrew Fay, Director & Co-Founder, to develop the strategy and design of Verso’s investment proposition and to build a range of products that meet the evolving needs of Verso’s clients and advisors.
